Travel Aware - Staying safe & healthy abroad (foreign office travel advice)

7 nights, Fjords, Mountains & Glaciers, with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines onboard Balmoral, 30th April 2017 from only £769pp including a free upgrade to All Inclusive*

Too late, this deal expired on

Sail away happy on Balmoral for seven nights sailing through some of the most beautiful scenery you’ll ever feast your eyes on.  If you’re looking for an unforgettable holiday then this is the cruise for you. Balmoral joined Fred. Olsen in 2008 and quickly became very popular thanks to her homey feel. Despite being the largest ship in the fleet, she’s still small enough to navigate through narrow waterways, meaning you can get up close and personal with the picturesque waterways on this sailing.

You’ll find it all too easy to relax onboard – there are a whole host of lounges and bars providing ample space to chill out and a great opportunity to make new friends. You can even learn something new on your cruise – attend talks, lectures and classes during the day, before watching fantastic live performances – including cabaret, stand-up comedy, and intimate shows from bands and singers – at night.

The food is something else, too. The Scottish theme runs throughout the ship with the names of all fine-dining restaurants being influenced by the Highlands; the Ballindalloch, Avon and Spey. Whichever you dine in, you’ll be in for a treat as the Chef’s produce tantalising menus ensuring no two days are the same. Don’t miss out on this fantastic sailing – call us today!

The Bergenhus Fortress is also an interesting visit – located on the harbour, this building is one of the oldest and best preserved castles in Norway.

Flam, Sognefjord

Home to the longest and deepest fjord in Europe, Flam is simply stunning. It’s only a tiny village, but somehow this makes it all the more charming – you’ll fall in love with this idyllic place. Take one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world on the Flam railway –  it’s the steepest railway line in Europe, offering you a spectacular view of some truly special scenery. Prepare for panoramic views of some of the wildest and most magnificent nature of the Norwegian fjord landscape.
