Our Commercial Manager, Nicola Defty has recently been enjoying the elegance and luxury of the Oceania Cruises. Whilst sailing onboard Nautica, Nicola experienced the beauty and opulence of the Oceania Cruises as well as stunning destinations and excursions.
If you’ve been following our ‘Where’s Nicola’ posts on our Facebook page recently, you might have noticed the impressive itinerary Nicola enjoyed, along with the striking interiors of the ship. Well, when you’re cruising with Oceania Cruises you can expect a trip nothing short of utter luxury.
We caught up with Nicola when she returned to the UK to get an inside scoop of how utterly amazing her cruise actually was.
This was my first cruise with Oceania Cruises and it was out of this world! The main thing I think makes Oceania Cruises stand out is the personalised service. The staff to guest ratio of 1.71 to 1 made me feel as though I was always looked after, and the little touches like being asked what nationality I wanted to sit with at dinner really made a difference.
Even though Oceania is a luxury cruise line, you can be as relaxed as you want to be with the Country Club Casual dress code, even on the formal nights. So you’re free kick back and enjoy your holiday.
Oceania’s O Life offer gives fantastic value for money – I choose to have three free shore excursions, free Wi-Fi and free flights from London. The destinations really shined through with back to back ports of call throughout the whole week long cruise.
Oceania offer a number of amazing cruises, onboard one of their six magnificent ships, to idyllic countries.
If you can envision yourself sailing the serene seas of Europe, book a cruise along the same seas and visiting some of the fantastic destinations featured on ‘Where’s Nicola’. We’ve done our research and are happy to bring you an itinerary that will tingle your senses. Embark onboard the stunning Riviera and sail away to the beautiful itinerary on this European Collage.
Riviera is a fantastic ship to sail on, the food is divine, with multiple dining venues to choose from. Experienced staff will enlighten you with their enjoyable seminars and tastings complete with food pairing, you’ll be an expert before you know it. Wine connoisseurs can while away an evening at La Reserve by Wine Spectator. The Culinary Centre is the place to be if you are a budding master chef, this is the only hands-on cooking school at sea and it is so popular so book early to avoid disappointment
Life onboard if is warm and relaxing so whether you want time alone or to mingle with your fellow shipmates, you’ll soon be in your zone enjoying all that Oceania Cruises has to offer.
With Oceania Cruises you can personalise your holiday experience with O-Life Choice. You can reap the rewards of FREE unlimited internet, PLUS either choose from four FREE shore excursions, or FREE house beverage package or $400 shipboard credit. You will also receive FREE airfare*, call our cruise experts for more information.

Being the Provence’s most famous holiday spot, we love Saint-Tropez. Brigitte Bardot put this place officially on the map in the 1950s and since then thousands of the world’s rich and famous have flocked here with us tourists not far behind. The whole place is absolutely charming with stunning views and beautiful beaches, you’ll have a fabulous time here in Saint-Tropez.
As glamorous as Grace Kelly herself, you’ll adore Monte Carlo. Most definitely on the map as playground for the rich and famous, check out the yachts moored in the harbour. If you’re looking for things to do we definitely recommend the Oceanography Museum, the aquarium inside is one of the largest and most beautiful in the world. And, if you have time, the Japanese Gardens are stunning, the most peaceful and tranquil place to be right in the heart of this beautiful city.
