One of Marseille’s most famous landmarks is Notre Dame de la Garde, it stands tall overlooking the city and sea. Take the bus or a good walk to the top and wander around taking in all the beautiful interior. A must is a visit to Vieux Port – Old Harbour – which is a point of interest for photographers, enjoy watching the boats come and go or take a ride on the Ferris Wheel. All in all, Marseille is a little gem so make the most of your day here.
San Remo, Italy
If you’re a secret ‘yacht-spotter’ you’ll love the harbour which houses high-society million-pound yachts we could only dream of owning. As Italy’s own Monte Carlo, Sam Remo is very pretty with it’s manicured lawns and stunning buildings – it is a lovely place to wander through the twisting lanes and take in the Riviera-style grandeur.
As the lyrics suggest – “how can I forget” – Barcelona is one of the most famous cities in the world. It really is stunning with it’s Spanish cutting-edge architecture, trend-setting fashion and beautiful art work it is an excellent location for us cruisers. With friendly locals, tasty tapas and so much to see and do you’ll thoroughly enjoy your day in Barcelona.
