The historic heritage cultural programme will take you to museums, exhibitions, concerts and plays in wonderful concert halls.
All around this lively city you’ll see traces of many famous artists and architects who have lived here over the years such as Antoni Gaudi and Lluis Domenech. Barcelona is an enchanting city that marries up past while forging a future with a magnificent seafront and a world-class drinking and dining scene.
Nice, Villefranche
Villefranche is one of the most charming villages on the French Riviera, with Monaco on one side and Nice on the other, yet it still manages to retain its laid-back vibe. The old town dates back to the 14th century and has an has a romantic feel to it – with so much to do here, it’s hard to know where to start. Buildings dating from the 12th century line narrow cobbled streets that slope down towards the seafront.
Quaint little squares like the Place de I’Eglise and the Place Felix Poullan create a timeless picture while cafes and restaurants line the waterfront quay so you can soak up the beautiful scenery.
Valencia
One of the most historic and cutting edge cities in Europe, Valencia is home a wealth of elegant art nouveau buildings as well as stunning Gothic and Renaissance monuments. Head to Valencia cathedral and climb to the top of the tower for some stunning views across the city. Stroll around the historic Carmen neighbourhood, where there are plenty of cafes and bars. The City of Art and Science is a fascinating place to explore with the museums and Opera House sitting on the banks of the River Turia.
