She’s a ship which beats all expectations from her outstanding culinary creations to her traditional theatre boxes and well-equipped health and fitness spa. But despite having modern facilities, Queen Victoria still manages to retain a classic feel through its wood-panelled spaces and dazzling chandeliers.

And did you know this sailing is part of Cunard’s fantastic themed voyages? So, if you’re lover of gardening this is a great chance to not only see Madeira’s vast array of flowers, but also a great opportunity to take advantage of specialist excursions and learn from guest speaker Gay Search, a well-known gardening journalist and television presenter.

This amazing price is based on two people sharing an inside cabin on a Full Board basis and includes all of your meals in the ship’s main dining rooms and first-class entertainment. Itinerary highlights

Madeira

Famous for its wine and stunning scenery, Madeira is so much more than another beach destination. In fact, this picturesque island is made up of dramatic cliffs, traditional churches and lush greenery. However, one of the island’s biggest draws has to be its tropical gardens – these stunningly designed patches are great for anyone who loves gardening with their huge selection of exotic plants. Although Madeira is part of Portugal, it is actually nearer to North Africa, so visitors can enjoy mild days all year round with a minimum temperature of 17°C.

Funchal

Tenerife

Pulling in a bucket load of British tourists every year with its constant warm temperatures and natural treasures, Tenerife is a fantastic holiday destination. Besides, there’s so much to do here  – get close to nature with a visit to Teide National Park, brave Tower of Power’s 90-foot drop with a day at Europe’s favourite waterpark, Siam Park or head to Playa de Las Teresitas, one of the few sand spots in Tenerife that doesn’t have black sand.
