Itinerary highlight

Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Welcome to one of the most modern and architecturally interesting cities in Europe, Rotterdam. The city dates back to medieval times, providing you with plenty of history to uncover. You’ll find buildings that were destroyed in World War Two that have been rebuilt to tell you a story. The Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is the art centre of The Netherlands, with masterpieces dating back to the 14th and 16th century. On the River Noord lies Kinderdijks Windmills, one of the most visited places in Rotterdam and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. When you head along the waterfront you’ll come across The Cube Houses – a form of architectural gold, and they hold some of the best views from their roof tops, too. You’ll spend your day exploring all kinds of historic treasures, and you’ll certainly come away feeling inspired.
