Day 1 - Palma, Majorca
As you don’t depart until 10pm, if you arrive in Majorca’s capital of Palma early, you'll have plenty of time to explore what it has to offer. The port is about a 25 minute drive from Palma airport, but don't forget your transfers are included.
The city centre is a 15-minute drive from the port. Stroll along the streets of the historic quarter and marvel at the numerous medieval buildings. Side streets are home to contemporary art galleries, boutiques and tapas bars, with culture around every corner. Must-sees include 14th-century Bellver Castle and the Moorish Arab Baths.
Before you get back on the ship, be sure to end your evening at the gothic Palma Cathedral. It sits on the waterfront dominating the skyline and is majestically lit up at night.
Day 2 - At sea
After you’ve enjoyed the sights of Majorca’s capital, make the most of your time on your ship before arriving at the next Spanish Delights cruise destination.
Marella Dream offers many relaxing and entertaining options. Families are well catered for, with a kid’s club, pool and plenty of dining options for the little ones. Indulge in some me-time at the Oceans Spa and Beauty Salon, or inside the his ‘n’ hers saunas. You could also just simply relax by the pool!
There are a total of six restaurants so try whatever takes your fancy. Round off the evening by taking in some comedy and music at the Broadway Show Lounge or trying your luck in the onboard casino.
Day 3 - Cádiz (for Seville), Spain
Time in port: 09:00-18:00
Thought to be Europe’s oldest city, Cádiz is a photographer’s dream. Buildings that cover numerous centuries create a colourful and unique look in this Spanish city, with a harbour that offers picturesque sea views.
You can walk from the port into the city within 15 minutes. Take a tour of Cádiz Cathedral, soak up the cosmopolitan culture in the many historic plazas or join the lively atmosphere on iconic La Caleta beach.
Seville is just over an hour’s drive from the port. Famous for its oranges, you’ll see plenty of these citrus fruits on trees that line the city streets. Also wander around Seville Cathedral, where the tomb of Christopher Columbus lies.
Day 4 - Gibraltar, Gibraltar
Time in port: 08:00-18:00

Full of surprises and pleasant scenery, the centre is just a five-minute drive from the port, so you can be exploring in no time at all.
Gibraltar is basically Britain in miniature, with lots of military history to its name. Take a tour of the famous Rock of Gibraltar with its World War Two tunnels, the Moorish Castle or the insightful museum.
Day 5 - Málaga, Costa del Sol
Time in port: 08:00-16:00
Sitting on the Costa del Sol, Málaga is a fun and friendly place with beaches that are particularly great for families. You can reach most of its resort attractions on foot from the port within 15 minutes.
There is another side to the city though, with examples of Moorish architecture showing Málaga’s ancient roots and rich culture. The Alcazaba Palace sits upon a hill overlooking the city and is an unmissable site to visit.
Day 6 - Cartagena, Spain
Time in port: 09:00-18:00
Cartagena’s most striking features are undoubtedly the two cliff-top colonial fortresses. You can walk into the city centre in around 15 minutes and also spot a notable Roman theatre.
In fact, so many cultures have claimed this city and naval base as their own, there are almost endless amounts of buildings to explore! These include the hilltop Castillo de la Concepción and the ruins of Cartagena Cathedral.
The attractive pedestrian streets are buzzing with the atmosphere of Spanish café culture. Enjoy a stroll by the lovely waterfront area and soak up the sea views.
Day 7 - Castellón, Spain
Time in port: 10:00-19:00
Another Moorish marvel, Castellón has a compact old-town area that’s home to most of its historic buildings. This makes it ideal if you don’t want to do much walking and the centre itself is around a 15-minute drive from the port.
Highlights of the city include the Castelló Cathedral, 17th-century hemp market and the city hall. There’s also plenty for those who prefer more modern attractions, with a contemporary art museum and the domed Planetarium.
Why not visit the vibrant city of Valencia if you’re not short on time, as it’s just an hour’s drive away. Famous for its food and fine architecture, Valencia is also packed with futuristic buildings that children will especially love!
Day 8 - Palma, Majorca
After a week of adventures and new experiences on your Spanish Delights cruise, it’s time to return to Palma.
