The Secrets of Asia 2 itinerary gives you the chance to explore the most mysterious of places that you might have only dreamed of visiting.
* The order of the itinerary may differ depending on your chosen departure date and airport.
Day 1 – Laem Chabang (for Bangkok), Thailand
Thailand is a key destination on Asia cruises and Laem Chabang is where your Secrets of Asia 2 journey starts. The port is just over an hour away from Suvarnabhumi Airport, with transfers included.
If your flight arrives early, feel free to explore the surrounding area - just make sure you get back to the port in good time for the ship’s 4pm departure.
Day 2 – Sihanoukville, Cambodia
Time in port: 07:00-21:00
Sihanoukville features several beaches and Otres Beach is one of the most laidback and least crowded. You can try windsurfing or hire a kayak for something a little more active.
After eating some delicious local seafood in one of the many restaurants, visit Wat Leu Temple on the outskirts of the city. Its hilltop setting makes for some wonderful views.
Day 3 – At sea
Day 3 will be spent at sea, so it’s the perfect time to see everything that Marella Discovery offers. Enjoy All Inclusive as standard, seven restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and even West-End style entertainment in the Broadway Show Lounge. There’s also Movies by Moonlight, an open-air cinema experience that shows everything from much loved classics to some of the latest blockbusters.
Day 4 – Phú My (for Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam
Time in port: 07:00-18:00
Reach the iconic city of Ho Chi Minh via the port of Phú My after a 90-minute drive. Important spots to visit include the War Remnants Museum for an education on the Vietnam War. The red-brick Notre Dame Cathedral, colonial-style Central Post Office and Reunification Palace provide you with some great photo opportunities.
Day 5 – At sea
Don’t forget about all the activities available on the top deck of your ship, including mini golf and rock climbing. - Dare to brave it to the top and be rewarding with a birds eye view of the ocean!
If you’re feeling particularly energetic, go for a run on the jogging track or head to the Oceans gym for a workout with a view.
Day 6 – Malacca, Malaysia
Time in port: 07:00-14:00
Malacca is a place where many cultures have made their mark. Walk the short distance from the port into the city centre and you’ll soon be strolling along colourful streets and past lots of colonial architecture. Sightseeing highlights include Dutch Square and Cheng Hoon Teng temple in the old town area.
Day 7-8 – Langkawi, Malaysia
Arrives: 06:00 (Day 7)
Departs: 16:00 (Day 8)
There’s plenty of time to enjoy Malaysia with Secrets of Asia 2. The next port stop is Langkawi where you will spend two days. The island’s main town is Kuah, which is famous for the huge eagle statue by its pretty waterfront.
One thing you simply must do is take the Langkawi Cable Car up to Gunung Mat Cincang Mountain and enjoy views from the top.
Day 9 – At sea
So many exciting dishes are served across Marella Discovery's restaurants and a sea day gives ample time to any foodies that would love to indulge in their taste buds.
With so much sightseeing having been done, take today to relax and catch some of the suns rays by the pool.

Day 10 – Port Blair, Andaman Islands
Time in port: 08:00-18:00
It’s time for a slice of tropical paradise on Day 10 as you get to enjoy the exotic forests and white-sand beaches of Port Blair. Visit Samudrika Marine Museum to discover the sea life that call this part of the world home. There’s also a museum about the tribal history of the area.
Take a tuk tuk down to Aberdeen Bazaar and pick up some locally-crafted items, such as jewellery and wood carvings.
Day 11-12 – At sea
These are your last days at sea, so be sure to try the one restaurant, activity or entertainment that you haven’t experienced yet.
Plan a meal at Kora La or go sample a slice of home at Squid & Anchor - your traditional British boozer complete with pub quizzes and game shows!
Day 13 – Colombo, Sri Lanka
Time in port: 08:00-17:00
The city of Colombo offers a mix of old and new and it’s just a 10-minute taxi ride away from the port. Colonial buildings, temples and skyscrapers all vie for space here. Viharamahadevi Park is a lovely place to get some peace and quiet after a long day of sightseeing.
Day 14-15 – Cochin, Kerala
Arrive in port: 06:00 (Day 14)
Your Asian journey comes to an end in the lively city of Cochin in Kerala. That doesn’t mean the exploring has to stop. Don’t miss the chance to see the diverse cultures represented here through its many unique buildings or the Chinese fishing nets that cover the water on Fort Kochi beach.
