Ports visited*

* The order of the itinerary may differ depending on your chosen departure date and airport.
Day 1 – Montego Bay, Jamaica

Departs: 20:00

A hotspot for Caribbean cruises, Jamaica is the perfect place to start your Pride of Panama journey. Montego Bay port is where you’ll board your ship, and your transfers from the airport are included at no extra cost.

Many of the resort's key spots to visit are a 10-15 minute drive from the port. There are many long stretches of pristine white sand to stroll along here. Doctor’s Cave Beach is ideal for swimming or snorkelling, should you have enough time to get your feet wet!

Gloucester Avenue, or Hip Strip, is known for its lively nature. Pick up souvenirs and enjoy some delicious local food before getting back on the ship for an 8pm departure.

Day 2 – At sea

Take advantage of the facilities onboard your ship, Marella Discovery 2, as you spend a day at sea. All Inclusive is standard, meaning your meals, drinks and activities are included - so feel free to treat yourself!

There are seven restaurants in total, so you’re never short on dining options. There’s plenty of choice on offer for the younger cruisers too with kid’s clubs facilitating fun activities for various age groups.

Spend your day relaxing by one of the two pools or unwinding in the Adult Only Veranda area. In the evenings, take in lively shows in the Broadway Show Lounge or enjoy an open-air cinema experience with Movies by Moonlight.

Day 3 – Santa Marta, Colombia

Time in port: 08:00-18:00

Santa Marta is Colombia’s oldest city and boasts glorious beaches backed by a dramatic mountain range. You can walk from the port to the heart of the city in just 10 minutes.

Despite enjoying a reputation for quality beaches, there’s also plenty more to the city. You’ll particularly love Santa Marta if you like to indulge in retail therapy and having a flutter, as there are numerous shops and casinos.

If you have enough time, head 45 minutes south to The Lost City, a fascinating ancient site. Trek through the jungle and feel like you’ve stepped back in time!

Day 4 – Cartagena, Colombia

Time in port: 07:00-17:00

Although there are no pirates in Cartagena, you can still see the Old Town walls that were built to protect the city from them! The drive from the port into the city centre takes about 25 minutes, but it’s very easy to get around once there.

Cartagena is one of the most charming cities in the Americas, with beauty around every corner. Whether that’s as you discover one of the many ancient churches, colonial buildings or the impressive Castillo San Felipe de Barajas fortress.

It’s a particularly good place to enjoy romantic walks and to end the evening in a cosy bar before it’s time to board the ship.

Day 5 – Colón, Panama

Time in port: 08:00-18:00

The Pride of Panama cruise wouldn’t be complete without a stop in Panama itself. Arriving into the port at Colón provides a gateway to one of the country’s most iconic features – the Panama Canal.

From the port, travel to wonderful Panama City, with the journey there taking just under 90 minutes. Board a ferry to explore the Panama Canal, which was built to connect the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Soak in the picturesque views as you sail through a series of locks to where the canal water finally meets the sea.

Day 6 – Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

Time in port: 08:00-18:00

The port at Puerto Limon is conveniently placed right in the middle of the city. One of the things you’ll definitely want to do is sample some delicious Caribbean food at the many cafés and restaurants. Also enjoy a walk around Parque Vargas, a lovely, leafy space by the waterfront.

Depending on how much time you have before the ship departs, travel for just under an hour to Veragua Rainforest Park. Here you can take an open tram ride through the canopy to spot a range of exotic creatures, including sloths, monkeys and birds.

Day 7 – At sea

Another day at sea means another opportunity to try out all the facilities you didn’t manage to tick off your list on Day 2. This might be the gaming centre aimed at both adults and kids or the exciting escape room.

You might want to challenge yourself on the rock-climbing wall or enjoy some friendly competition on the mini-golf course. If you’re travelling with older children, they’ll certainly be keen to join in!

Day 8 – Montego Bay, Jamaica

Arrives: 08:00

As the Pride of Panama cruise comes to an end, you return to Montego Bay on the last day. The week you’ve spent exploring some truly gorgeous destinations is guaranteed to give you a lifetime worth of memories!
