Ports visited*

* The order of the itinerary may differ depending on your chosen departure date and airport.
Day 1 – Palma, Majorca

Departs: 22:00

You’ll be flying into Palma to start this Mediterranean Medley itinerary. Think of intricate coffee stops in some of the prettiest cafes and going for a cycle or a stroll along the scenic promenade that’s lined with 18th century mansions and music from waterfront concerts!

If time allows once you’ve got yourself sorted onboard, step back off ship and explore some of Palmas most famous sights. Starting with La Seu Cathedral and Parc de La Mar. Just a 7-15 minute drive from port will bring you face to face with this impressive gothic architecture and dramatic façades all in a truly stunning location.

Day 2 – At Sea

Day two on this Mediterranean Medley itinerary gives you a day to relax at sea before hitting the rest of your destinations. Marella Dream is often described as a home from home and for good reason!

Crew become family, fellow cruises friends and with six restaurants, nine bars and a bundle of facilities, your day at sea will be just as exciting as those spent in location.

Go for a pamper in Oceans Spa, simply relax by the pool or use this day to plan ahead and book any tempting excursions with destination services!

Reserve a table at Mistrals restaurant if you want to make this one of your more special evenings. Then head to Tides bar to liven up your night, meet friends and enjoy the sounds of a grand piano and resident soloist – perhaps even do a spot of dancing!

Day 3 – Livorno (For Florence And Pisa), Italy

Time in port: 07:00 – 19:00

After a relaxing day two, you’ll arrive in Livorno - your gateway to Tuscany! Livorno port gives you access to Florence, Pisa, Siena and even Chianti wine region.

Travelling to Pisa will only take you around 30 minutes by car. Florence is around 90 minutes being slightly further afield, so keep this in mind when planning use of your time here!

We recommend heading straight out to Florence, a city full of art and surreal architecture. Its city centre is completely pedestrianised and wonderfully historic. Lock your gaze on the orange roofed Duomo and witness the Ponte Vecchino – the only bridge in Florence to survive the World War II bombings!

Whether you choose to do an expert guided tour or make your way on your own, you’ll find yourself with some down time after hitting all the main sights! So grab some lunch at Caffe dell’Oro just down the river from Ponte Vecchino. You could even visit the famous Uffizi Gallery – home to masterpieces by Raphael, Giotto, Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Caravaggio!

Time to head back to Pisa, our second must visit city of the day. Once here, an approximately 15 minute walk will bring you to the Miracle Square where you’ll find the famous Leaning Tower. One of the most iconic tourist spots in the world, make sure to capture that all important picture you simply won’t be able to resist posting online!

Savona sits at the very top of Italy’s boot, the city itself boasts a couple of historic landmarks including the ever so stunning Capella Sistina – sibling to the better known Sistine Chapel in Rome!

Savona port however opens the cruising world to Genoa and Turin, and it’s here where you’ll get a cultural tour of northern Italy.

Genoa sits between the mountains and the sea and is the largest Medieval city centre in Europe! If you’re a lover of history, Genoa has its own USESCO World Heritage sites to be explored! Visit the Strade Nuove and Palazzi del Rolli.

Turin then invites you into a world of elegant squares and even more beautiful architecture. With limited time we recommended taking in Turin's trio of highlights, head to the Museo Egizio, the Mole Antonelliana and the Museo Nazionale dell’automobile!

A 40-minute taxi or coach with Marella Cruises will also bring you to the town of Cassis. “He who has seen Paris and not Cassis has seen nothing” – a saying by French poet Frederic Mistral may now feel exaggerated but this truly encapsulates the feeling that this stunning seaside resort can bring.

Cassis is a true charmer with stunning sun-blushed beaches and the most delightful quayside lined with a beautiful array of cafes. Spend some downtime getting to know the place here, relax or do a spot of shopping before returning to Marella Dream.
