Day 1 – Laem Chabang (for Bangkok), Thailand

Departs: 16:00

Your ship doesn’t leave from Laem Chabang until 4pm, so make the most of your time here. Laem Chabang is just over an hour away from Suvarnabhumi Airport and transfers are included.

Day 2 – Sihanoukville, Cambodia

Time in port: 07:00-21:00

Sihanoukville has as many beaches as you might expect for a coastal city in this area of Asia. For a lively vibe and lots of restaurants serving local seafood, head to Ochheuteal Beach. Visit Wat Krom and Wat Leu Buddhist temples and marvel at the intricate architecture and ornate statues. Both are within easy reach of the city centre.

Day 3 – At sea

Use this day at sea to find out what your ship, Marella Discovery, has to offer. You certainly won’t be disappointed with the choice of seven restaurants to dine in and a huge range of indoor and outdoor activities. Highlights include the Broadway Show Lounge and the epic rock climbing wall. Enjoy All Inclusive as standard too!

Day 4 – Phu My (for Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam

Time in port: 07:00-18:00

Phu My is a great base for journeying to the famous city of Ho Chi Minh, although you should allow time for the 90-minute drive. There are many grand buildings to take photos of, including the colonial-style Post Office, red-brick Notre Dame Cathedral and Reunification Palace. The War Remnants Museum is an educational and moving place to learn more about the Vietnam War.

Day 5 – At sea

Day 5 is the second day at sea on the Colours of the Far East 2 itinerary. It’s the perfect time to make full use of the facilities available on board Marella Discovery. Why not give the jogging track, the gym or mini-golf a go.

Day 6 – Malacca, Malaysia

Time in port: 07:00-14:00

Asia cruises aren’t complete without adventures in Malaysia. On Day 6, you’ll arrive into the port at Malacca. The city centre is just a short walk away and is full of colourful streets lined with colonial buildings. Some of the must-visits include Dutch Square and Cheng Hoon Teng temple, which can both be found within the old town area.

Day 7-8 – Langkawi, Malaysia

Arrives: 06:00 (Day 7)

Departs: 16:00 (Day 8)

The next Malaysian stop is at Langkawi, with two days to enjoy what it has to offer. One of the must-sees is the giant eagle statue by the waterfront at the island’s main town of Kuah. With time to spare, take the Langkawi Cable Car all the way up to Gunung Mountain for gorgeous views over the surrounding area.

Day 9 – Penang, Malaysia

Time in port: 08:00-16:00

Another popular Malaysian destination, Penang is a mix of lively cultures and cuisines. There’s so much sightseeing to do in UNESCO-accredited George Town. Walking around is easy or you can hire a rickshaw if you wish. Once you’ve finished sampling some delicious Malaysian food on Macalister Road, take the furnicular railway up to Penang Hill.

Day 10 – Port Klang (for Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia

Time in port: 08:00-19:00

It’s less than a 15-minute drive from Port Klang to the town of Klang, where you’ll find lots of restaurants and shops. If you have time, take the 35-minute journey to the city famous for its skyscrapers, Kuala Lumpur. Get a dose of history in the National Museum with its ancient artifacts and then go shopping in bustling Central Market.

Day 11 – Singapore, Singapore

Time in port: 08:00-20:00

Singapore is an intoxicating mix of old and new. Modern buildings sit alongside temples, with plenty of green spaces to enjoy too. Highlights include Singapore Zoo, Sentosa Island and Little India.

Day 12 – At sea

You’ll be delighted by another day spent onboard Marella Discovery. Use this time to really get to know your ship and make full use of all she has to offer.

Spend more time relaxing poolside or take yourself for a pamper at Oceans Spa. Fancy doing something a bit different? Day 13 – Koh Samui, Thailand

Time in port: 07:00-17:00

Koh Samui is famous for its temples, beaches and villages. Visit the giant golden Buddha statue at Big Buddha Temple, the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rock formations and bamboo villages. Or simply relax on the popular sandy stretches of Chaweng Beach.

Day 14-15 – Laem Chabang (for Bangkok), Thailand

Arrive in port: 06:00 (Day 14)

Your Colours of the Far East 2 adventure ends where it began, in Laem Chabang. Disembark with a lifetime’s worth of memories and spend the rest of your time here making a few more.
