* The order of the itinerary may differ depending on your chosen departure date and airport.
Day 1 – Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

Departs: 23:00

Beginning in Las Palmas – you won’t depart here until 11pm, so make full use of your time! Your port is around 45 minutes away from the airport, so try to arrive early and start your day by hiking El Roque Nublo! Challenging for kids and not recommended for those with lessened mobility. However for those whom are able, the views you’ll experience here are simply quite breath-taking.

Gran Canaria is known for its sandy dunes and Maspalomas is the place to witness this golden beauty. Located on the south coast of Playa de Ingles, kids will just love running up and down the incredible wind-sculpted sands!

Enter through the Riu Palace Maspalmoas hotel and you’ll be immediately surrounded. Go for a stroll before picking a spot to relax in the sun for the remainder of your day. It’s also less than an hour back to port in a taxi here – so don’t worry about going too far afield.

Day 2 – San Sebastian, La Gomera

Time in port: 08:00-14:00

San Sebastian boasts quiet beaches and small villages but its countryside is fleeced with dramatic mountain ridges and vivid forests!

Rich in history with its main claim to fame having the one and only Christopher Columbus stay here on his way to the New World. You can actually spend part of your time retracing his footsteps which are well documented for visitors around the town!

Day 3 – Funchal, Madeira

Time in port: 09:00-20:00

On day three you’ll arrive in Maderias capital, this stunning location knocks out amazing scenery at every turn! Take some time exploring the capital, its quaint and compact so easily discovered within your time in port.

Head to the colourful market in the old town for some souvenirs and the freshest fruits, or if you’re more of thrill seeker - Funchal has its very own wicker toboggan sled ride!

What were once originally used for fast transport down to Funchal from Monte in 1850, are now a top tourist attraction. Experience high speeds on narrow winding streets, being pushed and steered by two locals using only their rubber-soled boots as breaks!

Day 4 – At Sea

After all that adventure you can relax on day four! This is your only sea day on this Canarian Flavours itinerary so get ready to indulge in everything Marella Dream has to offer.

Book in some treatments at the Oceans spa and beauty salon, splurge at the broad street shops or simply relax pool side! Marella Dream is full to the brim with amenities to keep you entertained.

Make the most of your specialty restaurants and reserve a table at Mistrals for a delicious a la carte offering, before getting dinks at one of the many bars onboard. End your day soaking up West End style performances in the Broadway Show Lounge or aim to hit 21 in the casino!

Before you know it you’ll have arrived at the port of Arrecife in Lanzarote for the next leg of your journey.

Day 5 – Arrecife, Lanzarote

Time in port: 08:00-18:00

Sun soaked beaches and the most beautiful lunar landscape, Lanzarote beholds the world famous Timanfaya National Park and it’s only a half hour drive from your cruise port!

The fiery mountain is one excursion you simply must do. Born from over six years of constant volcanic eruptions, this barren landscape invites you to take a camel ride through its valleys and even experience local guides turning water into steaming geysers!

If you wish to stay close to port, the capital city of Arrecife if beautiful in itself. You can spend some blissful hours walking around Castillo San Gabriel. However the popular resort of Puerto del Carmen is an easy 15 minute car ride away.

Here you’ll find some of the best beaches and shopping districts plus Rancho Texas – Lanzarote’s best zoo. A sure favourite if you’re traveling with children.

Day 6 – Puerto Del Rosario, Fuerteventura

Time in port: 08:00-17:00

Fuerteventura continues with year round sunshine and some of the biggest beaches in the Canary Islands. Meaning this port of call is ideal for those wanting all-out relaxation!

For those whom love to sunbathe, this may be on top of your to do list but for those who don’t, there are plenty more things to experience.

Release the turtles! - If you’re lucky enough to be cruising in the months of August and early September, why not take part in the yearly turtle release on Cofete beach?  It does require almost two hours of travel from port but it’s your chance to play a part in conservation and have that once in a lifetime experience – certainly worth any travel time!

Day 7- Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Time in port: 06:00-23:00

Your final stop before returning to Las Palmas, Tenerife has everything from inviting old towns, bustling night life and of course one of the tallest volcanos!

Mount Teide is a must do when visiting the island. If you wish to see a volcano larger than this you’ll need to be heading to Hawaii!

Each season brings changing weather patterns for new and surprising landscapes, but what does remain unchanged is the immensity of its views and its breath-taking silence.

Tenerife is also home to Siam Park! Sprawling across four acres, this amazing waterpark has been awarded TripAdvisors number one many times over. From sea lions to slides, plus its own beach and relaxing lazy river, it really is the perfect family day out and caters for all. - Plus it’s only just over an hour away from port!
