Day 1 - Corfu Town, Corfu
If you have an early flight, head out to spend some time on this lovely island once you've got settled onboard. Your free transfer from the airport to the port takes 15 to 20 minutes so drop off your luggage and get exploring.

Take a trip around the town’s old quarter, with its Venetian and Byzantine architecture. The old town stands between two fortresses. The streets are narrow with tall buildings and there are plenty of churches, cafés and souvenir shops to meander around. Make sure you visit St. Spyridon Church and the bell tower with a distinctive red dome.
Day 2 - At Sea
Time to get to know your ship as you sail the seas on Day 2 of your Aegean Shores cruise. Marella Discovery is one of the line’s largest ships and comes complete with a climbing wall, indoor pool and seven restaurants.
Drop the kids off at Kid’s Club and go for a jog around the running track on deck 10 or get sweaty at the gym before hitting the sauna. Take the family for a photo session in the Pure Portrait Studio and get some professional photos taken to remember your holiday by.
Have a light lunch in the Glass House before taking the Breakout Challenge, an escape-room type game. Go for a swim in the outdoor pool before the sun goes down then don your best bib and tucker for dinner in the Surf & Turf Steakhouse and dance the night away in Bar Eleven.
Day 3 - Heraklion, Crete

The capital of Crete, Heraklion bristles with history. See the ruins of a Bronze Age city at Knosses and Agios Minas Cathedral, with its red domes and two clock towers is worth a visit too.
To explore more of the island, book a shore excursion to the Cretan countryside, where you’ll pass through olive groves and vineyards on your way to picturesque villages like Arachanes, Peza.
Day 4 - Thira, Santorini

Day 4 of your Aegean Shores itinerary finds you in Thira, Santorini. White washed houses with colourful roofs nestle into craggy cliffs that look out over the bluest of seas. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, join the other adventurers jumping off the famous cliffs before grabbing a gyro (kebab) and heading off to explore the town on a donkey.

Santorini is one of the world’s oldest wine-producing regions, so take a tour of the boutique vineyards making some of the best wine in Greece, thanks to the rich volcanic soil.
Day 5 - Kuşadasi, Turkey

Coast or culture? That's the question on Day 5 of your cruise. We’re not just talking about swimming either. Today is about speeding down coastal trails and sands on a quad bike or trotting to Pamucak Beach on horseback. Whichever mode of transport you choose, you’ll end your day sunning yourself on the sand.
If you take the culture option, you’re in for a treat when you visit the ancient city of Ephesus which is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Temple of Artemis. You’ll also see the Library of Celsus, and the tomb of St. John allegedly lies in the Basilica of St. John just outside the city.
Day 6 - Piraeus (for Athens), Greece
Time in port: 07:00 - 18:00
Day 6 of your Aegean Shores itinerary finds your feet firmly on their way to Athens and its ancient ruins and landmarks. Start with the star of the show, the magnificent Acropolis, one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites and home of the Parthenon and Propylaea. Sat on top of a rocky hill, the Acropolis was dedicated to the goddess Athena and is a unique example of Classical architecture.
Once you’ve visited the Acropolis, head for Syntagma Square and the Greek Houses of Parliament. Here, you’ll also see the famous Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Take in the impressive Presidential Palace and end your tour at the old Olympic Stadium, which hosted the first modern Olympic Games.
Day 7 - Zakynthos Town, Zante
Time in port: 09:00 - 18:00
Zakynthos or you may say Zante, is home to incredible natural wonders, such as Navagio, or Shipwreck Cove! - Now this is a day trip well worth doing.
Spend your day relaxing on this enclosed shingle beach and explore the mysterious shipwreck. Still to this day, it is not exact;y known how the wreck came to be!
The beach is surrounded by limestone cliffs whom's tops are carpeted in lush green vegetation. Simply look down into the clearest blue sea and be taken aback by the views before you.
Then, there’s the Blue Caves, to the north of Zakynthos, which you can only get to by water. A boat will take you through natural arches and blue caves, the colour coming from the way the light hits the white limestone.
Day 8 - Corfu Town, Corfu
The end of your Aegean Shores cruise finds you back in Corfu with a suitcase full of memories, photos and souvenirs from your trip to the Eastern Mediterranean. Feel free to make the most of Marella Discovery and all her facilities until your disembarkation time when you'll catch that free transfer back to the airport.
