With it’s breathtaking splendour St. J0hn’s Cathedral is a must-see. This 16th-century city was granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1980. It is definitely worth visiting the Upper Barrakka Gardens, where at the highest point you will get fantastic views of the harbour which is very picturesque and with the city being so compact it is easy to explore and if you want to splash your cash take a visit to Republic Street where there is a good range of shops.
Rhodes is one of the finest medieval walled cities you will see and full to the brim with history. The friendly atmosphere is helped by the happy locals, they offer some of the best Mediterranean food and local wine to tantalise those taste buds. Check out the fascinating sights and museums of the Old Town and escape down the cobbled alleyways to the land that time forgot.
Known as The Door of Sicily, Messina is famous for its sickle-shaped port and thriving town – the 3rd biggest city in Sicily. There are some stunning sightseeing including the Cathedral and the Piazza del Duomo with the Orion fountain to the front or you may be interested in the Bell Tower and Astronomical Clock which is 60 metres high. Every day at noon, the figures begin to move and show scenes from the history of Messina. Whatever you decide to do or see you won’t be disappointed, the city is stunning.
