Viking Herja

About Viking Herja

As you sail through such beautiful settings as the Austrian Wachau Valley UNESCO Site, the scenery can be enjoyed in all its glory. Choose to recline in staterooms with large windows and verandas, or from social areas that maximise lights and views. Hybrid energy-efficient engines also allow a smoother cruising experience, while this high-tech ship also provides free Wi-fi throughout.

Another three UNESCO World Heritage Sites can be enjoyed on this eight-day journey along the Danube, which allows for exploration of Passau, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. Guests onboard will also have the opportunity to explore lesser-known Central European cities like Český Krumlov and Bratislava.

The six guided tours are included in the price of your cruise, as is all the food, drink and onboard entertainment, in keeping with Viking’s All Inclusive ethos. Dining at The Restaurant consists of buffets at breakfast and lunch, followed by more formal dinners. There’s even special ‘A Taste of…’ dinner, which showcases local cuisine. Each passenger can only experience this meal once, so make sure you don’t miss out. The al fresco Aquavit terrace provides a more casual eating experience, while The Lounge serves alcoholic drinks and coffee to a backdrop of live piano music.

Featuring some of the largest suites available on Viking Danube cruises, the top spot is given to two 445 sq ft Explorer Suites with 270˚C wraparound verandas. They also come with the perks of a coffee machine, cashmere blankets and a complimentary drinks package. The other four cabin choices include Veranda Suites with free champagne and Veranda Staterooms on the Upper Deck.

French Balcony Staterooms have full-height sliding doors, while Standard Staterooms offer half-height picture windows. No matter which accommodation option you choose, a 40” flatscreen TV with entertainment package, space under beds for cases, large wardrobes and heated bathroom floors come as standard.
