Thomson Majesty

Update: Marella Cruises waved goodbye to Thomson Majesty in November 2017! But don't worry - there's sure to be another member of their marvelous fleet for you to sail away on.

About Thomson Majesty

Rest and relaxation couldn’t be easier onboard Thomson Majesty. You’ll be able to enjoy a luxurious French dining experience at Le Bistro or opt for more traditional fare at the Seven Seas restaurant. For a more casual meal, you can either visit the Piazza San Marco restaurant or the Cafe Royale.

With fantastic amenities for all ages, including a Kid’s Club and a paddling pool for younger family members, you’ll find that Thomson Majesty has all bases covered. For the ultimate experience in stylish relaxation, head to the ship’s spa. Home to seven themed treatment rooms and two saunas, you’ll leave the spa feeling very well rested.

Night owls haven’t been forgotten. There’s the Monte Carlo casino, for some feisty gambling fun, and Frame 52 is an exciting dance venue. Looking for some cabaret entertainment? The Jubilee Lounge tops the bill with its fantastic acts – one night you could be admiring well known comedians, while the following evening you’ll spot screen stars and the cabaret circuit on stage.

If you want to show off your quizzing knowledge, or simply join in the fun, then the Royal Fireworks Lounge – with its range of gameshows, quizzes and competitions is a fun place to visit. You’ll find laid-back elegance when you spend some time catching the very best sea views accompanied by relaxing live music in the Observatory.

Entertainment and relaxation is the name of the game onboard Thomson Majesty and you’re in for an exciting cruise when you book your holiday on this ship.

For something even fancier, bring your invitation along to the popular Captain’s Gala Reception or book a table at the ship’s elegant à la carte restaurant.

Seven Seas Restaurant

There’s full waiter service for breakfast, lunch and dinner at this lively restaurant. A buffet option is also available in the mornings. An open-seating policy gives you the choice of dining where and when you like. So take a seat at a booth or a cosy table for 2 and choose whatever takes your fancy from a menu that includes signature dishes like roast lamb and beef wellington.

Four Seasons Restaurant

This elegant space is a more intimate alternative to the main dining room in the evening. It offers full waiter service and a wide menu choice.

Le Bistro Restaurant

This cosy à la carte eatery gives you the opportunity to spoil yourself rotten. Its calling card is a menu with a Gallic accent – think lobster thermidor and crêpes suzette. Just the ticket for a romantic dinner for two.

Day and night, there’s something going on in just about every nook and cranny of Majesty. You can look forward to deck parties, cabaret-style acts, a late-night disco, and live gigs from our resident band. All that, plus special guest acts from the UK and West End-style productions in this glitzy show lounge.

Monte Carlo Casino

Open during the day when the ship is at sea and in the evening after leaving port, this is a fun space with plenty of slot machines and gaming tables. Maybe Lady Luck will be by your side over a game of roulette, poker, or blackjack.

Polo Club

The ship’s party band calls this classically styled place home. It’s got a central location on deck 6, which makes it perfect for pre-dinner get-togethers.

Frame 52 Disco

There’s a roomy dance floor here and plenty of seating for relaxing or chatting with new friends. By day, Frame 52 is home to spa demos and fitness classes. By night, it transforms in to a disco.

Royal Observatory

Cosy and quiet, this is the highest vantage point on the ship. Make sure you pencil in some time to enjoy the stunning views while musicians provide low-key entertainment

Topsiders Bar

This open-air spot makes a great place in the sun for a coffee or cocktail.

Pool Bar

Take a seat in a wicker-style chair by the pool, order a drink or 2, and be ready to take part in Marella's legendary deck parties and daytime activities. This sociable spot also hosts cooking demos and barbecues.

Royal Fireworks Lounge

Quizzes, bingo, game shows, and lively sets from the ship’s band are the order of the day in this contemporary bar.

Rendezvous Bar

Bright, modern décor with wood-panelling and bistro-style tables and chairs make this a popular bar. A pianist provides a relaxing soundtrack.

Coffee Bar

This is a well-liked spot for mid-morning coffee and, later, for pre-dinner drinks.

Jubilee Lounge

This is the focal point of the evening entertainment. Most nights, the talented team of singers and dancers take to the circular stage for choreographed performances. Other times, UK comedians and guest acts have been known to raise the roof. Game shows and late-night cabarets are held here, too.

Broad Street Shops

The ship's parade of shops features fine jewellery, clothes, and perfumes. Keep an eye out for daily promotions for some great savings.

Pure Portrait Studio

Book a private portrait session with a professional photographer. Go for an indoor shoot, or opt for the Seascape Experience and head out onto the deck for photos.

Photo Gallery

The onboard photographers are around every day, capturing the best bits of your cruise on camera. Be sure to pay the team a visit if you want a DVD of your ports of call or snapshots from the Captain’s Gala Reception.

Card Room

This quiet spot has board games and cards for your enjoyment.

Browsers' Corner

You’re welcome to borrow a paperback from the shelves here. Round-the-clock Wi-Fi, at a charge, lets you do a bit of research on the next port of call and stay in touch with loved ones back home. Just so you know, Wi-Fi is also available at reception, Royal Fireworks Lounge, Rendezvous Bar, and Pool Bar.

Spend the day taking it easy: relax by the swimming pool with a drink in your hand, head to the spa for a massage or spend some time in the saunas.

Sana Wellness Centre, Beauty Salon & gym

The Sana Wellness Centre, Beauty Salon and Gym is the ultimate relaxation and pampering zone when you fancy spoiling yourself. It’s got 7 treatment rooms – including a couples’ massage room – 2 saunas, and a beauty salon that lines up manicures, pedicures and hair stylists to get you at your head-turning best.

Main Pool

The main pool on the sun deck is surrounded by tables and chairs for relaxing and has plenty of family appeal.

Adults' Pool

The second pool on the sun deck is just for adults.

Whirlpool Baths

There are 2 whirlpool baths either side of the main pool on deck 10.

Marella Cruises have worked on every last detail when it comes to getting the kids onboard. That means family-sized and inter-connecting cabins, buffet lunches featuring favourites like pizza and spaghetti bolognese, and a great mix of activities.

They lay on table tennis and football tournaments, fun quizzes, and early evening shows during their sea days. And when the ship is in port, children up to the age of 12 get discounted rates on some of their exciting shore excursions.

Every ship has a free Kids’ Club, too. So mum and dad can have time together while the little ones fill their days with treasure hunts, face-painting, and stories.

Kids' Club

The accredited staff at the onboard Kids’ Club do a brilliant job keeping youngsters entertained. There’s messy time with arts and crafts, dressing-up, movie nights and pyjama parties. Trips to the bridge to high-five the captain and behind-the-scenes backstage tours also make the line-up. They’ll even take your little ones to breakfast a couple of times a week while you get a lie-in. Groups are split in to 2 or 3, depending on ages and numbers. Tots is for 3 to 5-year-olds and Team is for 6 to 8 years – sometimes these 2 are combined. They’ve also got lots of activities that hit the mark for the 9 to 11 age group, in Tribe. Best of all, the club is free.

Kids' Pool

There’s a pool for the kids on deck 9.

Showtime Stage School

Wannabe Harry Styles and budding Lady Gagas will be in their element at the Showtime Stage School. Here, 9 to 16-year-olds can learn the tricks of the trade from the professionals, as the onboard show team puts them through their paces with acting, dancing and singing workshops. At the end of the cruise, there may even be a live performance. Three 90-minute lessons cost £35 per child. Just so you know, though, they only run if there’s enough demand.

Thomson the Dog

Keep your eyes peeled for Thomson the Dog during your family holiday. He’s been known to pop up at the poolside for story time, and he’s rather fond of a photo session or 2.

Family-Friendly Shore Excursions

One of the perks of cruising is visiting lots of new places one after the other. They’ve got a range of shore excursions for the whole family. For little ones, they organise trips to waterparks, aquariums and beaches, plus once-in-a-lifetime experiences like swimming with stingrays and dolphins. If you’re travelling with children aged 10 and over, there’s also the option of 2 wheels. Most of their ships have mountain bikes onboard. At almost every port, you can join an experienced guide and pedal your way around the best sights.

Kid's Dining

Dining doesn’t have to be a formal affair onboard. Their buffet restaurants have a huge choice of dishes for a relaxed family get-together. For children, there are favourites like pasta and fries on the menu, with ice-cream cones for pudding. The afternoon teas – all gooey cakes and freshly baked scones – are a firm favourite, and there are regular barbecue lunches out on deck. Don’t miss our Baked Alaska Parade, either.
