Marella Explorer 2 Bars

Given that Marella Explorer 2 is the first adults only ship of the fleet, you can expect to find lots of amazing bars onboard, each with their own unique offering. Like her sister ship Marella Explorer, Indigo club is the ships forerunner! Catering for both daytime drinks complete with stunning views, through to all-night dancing, casino fun and cocktail making!

You also have the addition of Flutes, a sophisticated champagne bar, plus many other venues where you can grab a laid back drink or two. Take a look below at all she has to offer.

Squid and Anchor

Deck 7
Home to a live band, quiz nights and a scattering of arcade machines, Squid and Anchor is your modern take on a traditional British pub! Your local in the ocean, you’ll have two bars to pick from. One specialising in premium gins and whiskeys which will be chargeable extras and one providing all your favourite fancies.

Indigo Bar and Club

Deck 12
Indigo club, bar and casino is found on deck 12 and takes up the majority of the front of the ship. With 360 degree views, it’s the perfect spot to take it all in! Comprised of two bars, the main one serving up some rather inventive cocktails and hosting its own cocktail-making classes. Delight in G & Tea Time - Gin and tonic in a tea cup and saucer! If you’ve ever visited the Alchemist and enjoyed their theatrical offerings, you’ll love Marella Cruises Great Balls of Fire which comes served in a smoke filled box! For those who’d pick whiskey as your chosen tipple, this is the best choice for flavour and fun! Indigo Bar and Club is full of life with an electric atmosphere. You’ll find a dance floor in its centre with raised platform for The Emulator – an interactive touch screen DJ deck, plus silent discos also happen here once a week!

Deck 6
Situated just outside Surf & Turf and Kora La, Aperitif has a speak-easy style feel to its space and is the uttermost in class and high end sophistication! With Champagne and Prosecco on the menu, it’s a great spot to attend before or after your evening meal at one of Marella Explorer 2's speciality restaurants.

The Shack

Deck 12
The Shack bar sits a deck above your main pool onboard Marella Explorer 2. The perfect pit stop to delight in some magnificent sea views whilst cooling down with a frozen daiquiri or two! With classic wooden furniture, plus cocktails served in coconuts, The Shack has a beach hut feel and is a firm favourite among many.

Deck 6
Found just beside the Broad Street Shops, if you tire yourself out from snatching a few bargains stop by Flutes for a bubbly refreshment! Also great for date nights or those just wanting to feel a bit glam, say hello to Marella Explorer 2's new luxurious Champagne bar! With awe worthy interior of muted creams and pastel tones, finished with a fantastic display of foliage - you’ll be wanting to replicate it all when you arrive back at home. Witness some of the serene sea views and enjoy the sounds of the grand piano in this beautiful location. Plus you may notice some handy ‘press for bubbles’ buttons dotted around, meaning you may not need to move far to keep yourself topped up!

The 19th Hole

Deck 7
Another new addition to the fleet, Marella Explorer 2 welcomes The 19th Hole, a new clubhouse bar which boasts a flamboyant golf theme with quirky golf buggy seating, argyle pattern flooring, craft beers and themed cocktails! Take a seat on a traditional leather chesterfield or have a go on one of two golf simulators. Practice your putting whilst enjoying your favourite tipple, we’re sure it’ll be a night well spent!

Pool Bar

Deck 11
As simple as the name suggests, The Pool Bar sits right next to the pool! Your go to for a quick refreshment in-between sunbathing, swimming or relaxing in the hot tubs. You’ll find cocktails, beers and wines on offer here, plus cold ones readily available in buckets nearby to take as you please. Remember there are soft drinks too – got to keep yourself hydrated!
