The first ship in the fleet to be exclusively for adults, you can expect some pretty chic features that make sailing without the kids a total pleasure. She's the sister ship to Marella Explorer, so you can expect to see some similarities - but enough surprises to really set her apart.
Marella Explorer 2 is the latest addition to the Marella Cruises fleet – and boy oh boy is she set to impress! Sailing from Summer 2019, she’s the sister ship to Marella Explorer – but with one big difference. She’s adult only!
Marella Explorer 2 oozes sophistication, from facilities like the Champneys Spa which boasts a sauna with floor-to-ceiling windows to the perfect sunbathing spot The Veranda, with stylish cocoon chairs and Balinese beds that make relaxing easier than ever. You can even order drinks straight to your lounger!
Her dining offering is no less impressive, with eight superb restaurants to choose from. From the tantalising flavours of The Mediterranean, where you’ll find pizza, tapas and Portuguese meat skewers, to the uber-cool Dining Club, where you’ll be treated to to high-end cuisine. Foodies will love it!
That’s without mentioning the Surf & Turf Steakhouse, the Snack Shack – the perfect place to grab a quick bite – and Kora La, where you’ll discover oriental flavours inspired by authentic Asia.
And if you think the food sounds good, wait until you hear about the bars! With 10 places to enjoy your favourite tipple, you’ll have tried and tested every single item on the cocktail menu in no time. Did we mention All Inclusive comes as standard on this ship?
Enjoy British pub vibes in the Squid & Anchor, where you’ll find live bands, game machines, quiz nights and even a spot of karaoke. Venture to Apertif for pre-dinner sip of champagne or prosecco, or turn things up a notch by heading to Indigo Bar, where flare demonstrations and cocktail-making lessons take place. It’s also the perfect spot for soaking up 360 degree views, day or night.
And for the real party-goers, there’s the adjoining Indigo Club. Make sure you’ve got your dancing shoes on, as this is where you’ll find a dangerously-cool DJ booth, dancefloor and bar. And if your head’s feeling a little worse for wear the next morning, stop by the Coffee Port for your caffeine fix!
Catch a superb show in the Broadway Show Lounge, which even offers waiter service, meaning you won’t miss a minute of the action! The cinema serves up your favourite flicks, and there’s even a spot for mini-golf if you feel like starting a tournament with the family.
If shopping’s more your thing, you’ve got a whole selection of onboard boutiques at your fingertips selling all your favourite duty-free products. And if you think Lady Luck is on your side, try out the slot machines and card tables at the Indigo Casino. There’ll never be a dull moment!
