The dress code onboard Marella Dream is pretty easy to follow – it’s split into three categories.
First you’ve got Beachwear, which is pretty much what it says on the tin. Bikinis, swimming costumes, trunks and flip flops.
Then there’s Casual – tops and shorts or a sundress. Just your every day clothing.
And finally there’s Smart – which gives you the chance to dress up a little. If you’re attending the Captain’s Party or you’re off for a meal in one of the speciality restaurants, it’s time to put your best outfit on. It’s your choice if you go for a jacket and tie, a smart shirt and trousers or cocktail dress.
There’s a dress code in each of the restaurants onboard – you’ll find this information in your cabin when you arrive.
Yes. You’ll be able to access the internet – or check in on Facebook – in the designated Wi-Fi zones onboard Marella Dream.
Internet access is chargeable, and depending how much you use you’ll be charged an amount to your ship account. You can find out the cost of this at reception onboard.
Yes – but only in designated smoking areas. Both cigarettes and e-cigarettes can only be used in the onboard smoking areas, which are usually out on the open deck. Ask a member of staff onboard for your nearest smoking point.
Of course! If you would like to reserve a particular cabin, you simply have to book your cruise as normal, and then once you’ve decided which one you’d like, call us to let us know.
This can be done upto 15 days before your cruise takes place, but if you’re after a certain cabin it’s always best to book it sooner rather than later. Securing your cabin costs just £48, otherwise you’ll just be selected a cabin at random.
Once you’re onboard, you’ll have a ship account opened for you. This means there’s no need to carry loads of cash around with you, as any onboard purchases will be charged to your account.
This includes dining costs at any of the speciality restaurants, upgrading to a Premium Drinks package or any internet access.
You can view your account balance any time at reception, which is where you can also settle your account before you depart the ship on your last day.

Not to worry! Cruising is a fantastic way to travel for anyone heading off on their own, as you’ll make friends onboard in no time!
Marella Dream has its very own Social Hostess onboard, who’s in charge of organising special events and meet ups for any solo cruisers onboard.
There’s also a variation of table arrangements in each restaurant, so you can dine with new people every night. No one is ever on their own on a cruise!
Plus, you’ll be in your very own Single Cabin, perfect for a comfortable stay during your cruise. The Single Cabins are usually located together in one area of the ship, so you’ll meet your neighbours who are travelling solo too!
Yes – you’ll find the Medical Centre on Deck 4. The ship’s English-speaking doctor and a team of nurses will be available to see you between 8-10am and 5-6.30pm.
Yes – even if you’re sailing straight out of the UK, you’ll need your passport when you board the ship. It’s compulsory that you bring it, no matter which Marella Cruises sailing you’re on. Without it, you won’t be allowed to board the ship.
Simply book your cruise – either online or over the phone – then take a look at the types of excursions you can do in your destination.
Then simply give us a call and tell us what kind of things you’d like to get up to. We’ll book it for you in a flash!
Alternatively you can wait until you’re onboard Marella Dream and visit Destination Services, which you’ll find on Deck 8.
The staff there will be able to provide you with handy maps and guides if you’re thinking of exploring a destination on your own, or they can book you onto one of the Marella Cruises excursions taking place. They can even book your next cruise too!
