If you're wondering whereabouts on the ship you should choose your cabin, or you're wanting to find your way around before you get onboard, then take a look at our handy deck guides.
Deck 1 onboard Marella Celebration is used solely for accommodation. Starting from mid-ship and heading towards the front, you’ll find both Inside Cabins and Outside Cabins on this deck.
The Inside Cabins are a great choice for those looking to cruise on a budget. They’re usually always the cheapest type of cabin, as they don’t include a window or balcony.
They still have plenty of space for a comfortable stay, and if you’re not someone who’s likely to spend a lot of time in your cabin anyway, they’re a great base for the duration of your cruise.
Many come with fixed double beds, while others come with single beds that can be converted into a double. There’s also those which feature twin beds in an L shaped configuration – so if you have a preference on how you’d like your beds to be, it’s probably a good idea to reserve your cabin once you’ve booked.
There’s a portion of the Inside Cabins on this deck which come as the four-berth options, where you’ll find extra berths in the form of foldaway beds. These cabins also come with additional wardrobe space. Ideal if you’re heading away with the family or a group of friends!
Then there’s the Outside Cabins. Similarly to the Inside Cabins, they differ in that they come in various layouts – some with fixed double beds, some with singles that convert to a double and some with twin beds that come in an L-shaped configuration.
If you don’t reserve your cabin, you’ll just be allocated a cabin at random – if you have an idea in mind of which layout would work best for you, it’s best you reserve it beforehand.
Both types of cabin provide 13-16m² worth of space, with the Outsides having the advantage of having a porthole, meaning you can open the drapes every morning and look out to your new destination.
If you’d like certain facilities of the ship within easy reach, then it’s also a good idea to select a cabin in a position suited to you.
Choose a cabin at the front of the ship on this deck, and you’re only a few decks below handy areas like Destination Services and the Kids’ Club, both of which are on Deck 5.
Opt for a cabin mid-ship, and you’re only an elevator ride away from the Meridian Restaurant on Deck 4, as well as the brilliant Broadway Show Lounge on Deck 5.
Deck 2 of Marella Celebration is also where you’ll find different types of accommodation. They’re mostly situated between the front of the ship and the middle section, but there are also a few cabins on this deck that creep towards the back.
Most of the accommodation on this deck belongs to the Outside Cabins. They measure in at 13-16m² each and can either come as two single beds side by side, in an L-shape, or as a queen size bed. And of course they feature a pretty porthole window, allowing lots of natural light to stream straight into your cabin.
There’s an abundance of Inside Cabins on this deck too. Those that are situated at the front of the ship are all rooms containing a fixed double bed, whereas those that lie mid-ship feature the L-shape set-up.
They measure in as the same size as the Outside Cabins - 13-16m² - and are lovely and cosy, ideal for a comfortable stay. They all contain an en suite bathroom too, which has a shower and WC.
Deck 2 is also the perfect place to call home for anyone thinking of cruising solo. With a choice of Single Inside Cabins and Single Outside Cabins available on this deck, solo travellers are sorted for a comfortable cabin onboard Marella Celebration.
The Single Inside Cabins come with a single bed and are compact yet cosy. They’re great for anyone cruising on their own, or for friends who prefer not to share.
The Single Outside Cabins are the same size and have the same style of bed, but feature a porthole window, enabling you to see the spectacular scenery of whichever destination you find yourself in.
These single cabins are situated towards the back of the ship on this deck, meaning you only have to hop up the stairs or jump in an elevator to get to fantastic restaurants such as Minstral’s and Kora La, both on Deck 4.
If you opt for one of the cabins at the front of the ship, you’re just a few decks below facilities such as the Explorer’s Lounge and The Coffee Port – the perfect place to relax with a cuppa on Deck 5.
If you’re situated mid-ship, you can be at the Broad Street Shops, also on Deck 5, in a heartbeat. Shopping spree anyone?!
Deck 3 onboard Marella Celebration is mostly all accommodation. It’s largely Inside and Outside Cabins, but at the back of the ship there’s also the Medical Centre.
The Inside Cabins onboard Marella Celebration are excellent value for money. These types of cabin are usually always the cheapest grade available, as they don’t contain a porthole window or balcony.
Not having a few doesn’t mean the room is any less comfortable however, and the cabins are decorated so that returning to your cabin is always a pleasant experience.
If you’re not someone who spends a lot of time in your room anyway, you may as well make some savings to spend on other things – perhaps an excursion!
The Inside Cabins come in various options. Those situated at the front of the ship contain a fixed double bed, whereas mid-ship on this deck you’ll find a few that contain twin beds in an L shaped configuration. And heading towards the back, they contain single beds - which can be converted to a double upon request.
There’s also a few that can accommodate up to four people in one cabin – meaning you can take the kids, or head away as a group of friends if you wish!
If you want to step things up a notch with a view, then an Outside Cabin on this deck is a great choice. Spanning the entire length of the ship, you’re not short of options if you know whereabouts you’d like to be situated.
Similarly to the Inside Cabins, there’s different layouts available – either those with twin beds in an L-shaped configuration or those with singles that convert to a double. They’re mostly two-berth cabins, but there is a few that can accommodate up to four people.
Right at the back of the ship you’ll spot the Medical Centre. If you’re not feeling yourself, this is the place to go to be seen by the ship’s doctor and a team of nurses. The surgery is open between 8-10am and 6-7.30pm.
Deck 4 will likely become a favourite of yours whilst sailing on Marella Celebration – it’s the home to a few fantastic dining options! You’ll also find the Reception area on this deck, along with a few cabins.
The Meridian Restaurant takes centre stage mid-ship on this deck, and with an open eating system, you can dine at whichever table you like.
Stick with your favourite area or change things up with a new table and a new waiter – it’s open for breakfast, lunch and marvellous multi-course dinners.
Elegantly decorated, you’ll love eating in this spacious restaurant. It’s got a totally different feel to the likes of the Lido Restaurant on Deck 5, and it comes with waiter service.
Head towards the back of the ship on this deck and you’ll come to some even juicer dining options. On the portside, you’ve got Mistral’s.
Mistral’s is the place to go for fine dining – expect the likes of Lobster Thermindor, succulent steaks cooked to utter perfection and of course, the lamb rack. This à la carte menu doesn’t disappoint.
Contemporary surroundings and impeccable waiter service to match – it’s the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or have a romantic meal for two. But be warned – you may want to come back more than once! A cover charge applies at this restaurant, but you’ll soon see that it’s worth it. You’ll also need to make a reservation beforehand – it’s rather popular!
If you want to spice things up a bit, head to Kora La. With a subtle oriental setting, you’ll be blown away by the tasty dishes on offer.
Featuring flavours from the exotic continent of Asia, tuck into the likes of Thai Green Salmon Curry, Chicken Kashmiri or if you’re one for heat, the Prawn Vindaloo. A cover charge also applies at this venue.
Marella Celebration’s Reception area can also be found on this deck. It’s open round-the-clock, so there’s always someone ready and waiting to answer any queries you might have.
Other than that, all that’s left to discuss are the cabins on this deck. They include Inside Cabins – of which all but three are in the layout consisting of twin beds in an L-shape. There’s also two which can accommodate up to four people, which is perfect if you’re cruising as a family.
The remaining rooms are Outside Cabins, most of which are all also laid out in the L-shaped configuration with twin beds. These cabins allow lots of natural light to steam into your cabin, and gives you a chance to grab a sneak peek of your new destination before you leave the ship!
All these cabins are just a stroll away from the Reception area, which is always handy for any queries that might arise during your stay.
Deck 5 on Marella Celebration is where it’s all happening! Whether you’re after fantastic food, dreamy drinks, an array of entertainment or just a place to chill out and relax – you’ll find it all here. There’s also a few cabins on this deck, too.
At the very back of the ship you’ll find the Lido Deck. This is home to two pools – the main pool and the kids’ pool. And there’s plenty of sun loungers around so you can top up your tan.
During the day you’ll find there’s plenty going on, including live music and activities from the entertainment team.
Plus, the Lido Bar and Terrace Grill are on hand to make sure you’re kept fed and quenched throughout the day. Grab something light to eat like pasta or a salad, and head to the bar for your favourite drink – be it an ice-cold glass of lemonade or a frothy pint of beer.
If you fancy more than a light bite, the Lido Restaurant is just moments away. This self-service buffet restaurant offers a huge choice of both hot and cold food – expect everything you need for a hearty full-English on a morning and at lunch time you’ll see freshly carved meats ready to make up a Sunday roast with all the trimmings.
Evening meals might see an assortment of tasty curries, and afterwards you can head straight to the Broadway Show Lounge in the centre of the ship to be dazzled by West End-style productions.
If shopping’s more your thing, you’ve got a selection of boutiques available on this deck too. From duty-free perfumes and toiletries to fabulous pieces of fashion, everything you can possibly want you’ll find here.
If all those shopping bags are weighing you down, stop by Hemingway’s Bar for a sip of the cocktail of the day. In here you’ll find live music from pianists and guitarists, and there’s ultra-comfy sofas and armchairs that you can just sink into.
At the front of the ship is another area that’s great for pre or post-dinner drinks, the Explorers’ Lounge. This spacious lounge is the ideal gathering place for meeting new-found friends and discussing the day’s events.
The Coffee Port also makes up part of the Explorers’ Lounge, and it's where you'll want to head for your morning caffeine buzz. With freshly brewed Lavazza coffee, take your pick from a creamy cappuccino or a lovely latte.
Capture the special moments of your cruise in the Pure Portrait Studio. Get your photos taken by a professional, showing you and your loved ones living life to the fullest.
There’s also a team of photographers around the ship every day to capture moments you’ll want to remember forever. You can view all the photos taken at the Photo Gallery, which you’ll find just outside of the Broadway Show Lounge.
Fancy a flutter on the roulette table? See if Lady Luck is on your side in the Casino. You can even sign up for blackjack or poker lessons at one of the gaming tables.
At the very front of the ship on Deck 5, there’s a handful of useful amenities. Destination Services is one of them, set just outside of the Explorers’ Lounge.
This is where you can browse and book shore excursions, as well as pick up handy guides and maps if you’re heading out to your destinations on your own. You can even book your next cruise here!
If you’re a book lover, head to Browsers’ Corner. Whether you’re after a guidebook or a good novel to get stuck into, this is the place to find it. It’s a quiet area that also has PC’s if you would like to access the internet, although a charge applies.
You’ll find the card room next door, which is another quiet spot that’s ideal for playing one or two board games – although maybe not Monopoly (we know things can get heated!)
Not far away is the Kids’ Club, where three to 11 year-olds can have bundles of fun taking part in arts and crafts, super-hero themed parties and even hidden treasure hunts. They’ll love it!
All that’s left to discuss on Deck 5 is the cabins on this deck – all six of them! You’ll find the only cabins on this deck located at the front of the ship, and they’re all Deluxe Balcony Cabins.
Sea views are in abundance with these cabins, thanks to a furnished private balcony. You’ll even receive Premier Service too – meaning you’ll get Express Check-In, Free Pressing Service and Free Continental Breakfast in Bed (1 per person, per week).
These cabins are ideal if you want to be situated on a deck with so much going on – no hopping in and out of lifts for you! You can be sipping a drink in seconds, taking your seat in the Broadway Show Lounge or tucking into tasty cuisine in the Lido Restaurant.
Deck 6 onboard Marella Celebration is quite possibly one of our favourites. Aside from a stunning outside deck area that’s the perfect place to soak up sea views, you’ve also got Liberties lounge and the upper section of the Broadway Show Lounge, complete with a bar.
You’ll also find Deluxe Cabins on this deck. They measure in at a roomy 19m² and come with a picture window, as well as a table and chairs so you can sit and relax with a drink from the minibar.
They can either be set up as two separate beds or as a queen-size one, so you know you’re in for a good night’s rest. There’s also a folding bed in most, meaning these cabins can accommodate a third person.
It’s important to note that some of these cabins are interconnecting – ideal if there’s a group of you going away. Some of the Deluxe Cabins window views may be partially obstructed by lifeboats. To guarantee a clear view, it’s always best to reserve your cabin in advance of your sailing.
These cabins are a great choice of accommodation, as they’re only a short stroll away from the upper section of the Broadway Show Lounge, complete with its own bar.
This is where you’ll no doubt be razzle-dazzled by West End-style productions, taking the form of mesmerising musical numbers and upbeat dance routines. This starry show lounge will also play host to special UK guest acts. And with a well-stocked bar here too, you’ll never need to miss a minute of the action!
Heading towards the back of the ship on Deck 6, you’ll come across Liberties – a lively lounge that offers everything from line dancing to Zumba!
There’s always something happening in this space – whether it’s a game of bingo or a movie playing during the day, or live bands, karaoke and game shows going on on an evening. The bar in here stocks all your favourite drinks too.
This large lounge is centred round a fancy dance floor, perfect for when you’re feeling brave enough to bust a few moves.
At the very back of the ship on this deck, you’ve got a wonderful open seating area forming a U-shape, overlooking the lovely pool area on the deck below.
This is where you’ll want to be to gaze at mesmerising views as you sail out of one port and head for the next. Order a drink, pick a table, and sit back and soak up the serene scenes before you.
Deck 7 onboard Marella Celebration is where you’ll likely find any fitness fanatics onboard the ship – as it’s home to the Oceans Gym!
Located towards the back of the ship, this roomy gym has plenty of equipment to provide you with all you need for a fantastic workout.
That means you can dine and drink to your heart’s content onboard, knowing there’s somewhere onboard that you can burn it all off. Those marvellous multi-course meals and colourful cocktails just became guilt-free!
There’s resistance equipment as well as cardio machines, so you can really get a sweat going. And if you really want to stay in ship-shape (see what we did there?) whilst onboard, you can even book a personal training session with a qualified instructor.
If you love to get an early-morning workout in to start your day off, then a cabin on this deck might the ideal accommodation for you.
There’s three types of cabin on this deck, with the majority being Deluxe Cabins. They’ve got plenty of space – 19m² to be precise – and feature a picture window as well as a table and chairs so you can relax.
There’s also a minibar in these cabins – perfect for pre-drinks as you’re getting ready for the evening! Sometimes the views out of these cabins can be obscured by lifeboats, so it’s always best to give us a call and reserve your cabin to make sure this isn’t the case.
For even more stylish accommodation, there’s also a few Suites on this deck. There’s only 20 of these on the entire ship, so you’ll need to snap one up quick.
With even more space – 26-27m², these suites offer the most spacious and elegant stays onboard. They each have their own separate living area and bedroom, and there’s a perfectly-placed picture window so you’ll be able to have the most stunning views.
On top of that you’ll find a king-size bed for a dreamy night’s sleep, and the sofa even converts to a bed if you’re wanting to accommodate a third person.
The en suite bathroom in these cabins feature a shower over a bath so you can really relax after a full day of exploring. Add that to some tunes playing from the iPod docking station and a drink from the minibar, and you’ve got yourself a pretty good set-up!
And just to top things off, all Suites come with Premier Service – giving you express check-in, a free pressing service (up to three items per person in the first 24 hours onboard) as well as a free continental breakfast in bed each week for each person. Delightful!
If you’re thinking of keeping a reign on the budget, the Outside Cabins on this deck are a great alternative. Those situated on this deck come with twin beds in an L-shape formation, and still have plenty of space for a comfortable stay.
The remaining cabins on Deck 7 are the four Adapted Outside Cabins at the very front of the ship. These are ideal for any passengers with mobility issues, as there’s plenty of space to manoeuvre a wheelchair. They come with a fixed double bed, and a picture window allowing plenty of natural light into your cabin.
Deck 8 on Marella Celebration is home to some of the most relaxing areas of the ship. At the back of the ship, and with amazing sea views, is another pool. It’s a quieter setting than the pool area on Deck 5, which features live music and entertainment.
Just beside the pool is a whirlpool. Here you can enjoy a relaxing soak, with the bubbles melting all your troubles away in no time. And with the views you’re surrounded by, it really does feel like a retreat!
If that gives you a taste for living the high life, then you’re in luck. The Oceans Beauty Salon and Spa is right nearby, and it really does go all-out when it comes to indulgence.
Treat yourself to some serious pampering, with treatments like full-body wraps, Indian head massages and aromatherapy facials available. The spa also stocks luxury brands such as Decléor, so you know you’re going to leave feeling utterly amazing.
Next to Beauty Salon and Spa are two toasty Saunas. They’re perfect for warming up after a dip in the pool or getting a sweat on after a massage.
A cabin on this deck is always a good idea – you’re right near the spa and the quieter of the ship’s swimming pools.
Most of the cabins on this deck are Deluxe Cabins, many of which can accommodate up to three people thanks to a folding bed.
These cabins include a table and chairs inside, so you have a little place of your own to sit and relax. They also feature a picture window and a minibar. Win-win!
There’s five Outside Cabins located on Deck 8 too, all which come with twin beds in an L-shaped configuration. They’re perfect for friends travelling together, or for anyone happy to sleep separately.
And finally, there’s the Suites. There’s 10 on this deck, each of them coming with Premier Service. This includes Free Express Check-In, Free Pressing Service (up to three items per person in the first 24-hours onboard) and Free Continental Breakfast in Bed (1 per person, per week).
They’re very generous when it comes to space, with 26-27m² worth, thanks to a separate living area and bedroom which boasts a king-size bed. The sofa can also convert into a third bed for someone, making the rooms perfect for a family or group of three.
You even get a minibar and an iPod docking station in your cabin – perfect for coming in from a day exploring, sticking on your favourite tunes and sitting back with a drink to relax!
You’ll also find the bridge at the front of the ship on this deck – which is where you’ll usually find the Captain!
Deck 9 onboard Marella Celebration is home to possibly our favourite accommodation on the ship – the Deluxe Balcony Cabins. They come with Premier Service of course, which means you’ll get a few added benefits for free.
Premier Service includes Express Check-In, Free Pressing Service (up to three items per person in the first 24 hours onboard) and a Free Continental Breakfast in Bed per person, per week.
But the best thing about these cabins is of course the stunning sea views you can enjoy from your balcony!
There’s only a handful of these cabins onboard – six on Deck 5 and the few on this deck – so it’s best to get booked up quick if you’re certain you want a Balcony Cabin.
Wide glass doors open out to a furnished private balcony, so you can step outside every morning and be rewarded with views of your new destination. Cruising at its best!
Deck 9 is also home to a fabulous area known as The Sun Lounge. Looking for an uber-cool place to sunbathe and relax? This is the place to go. Up high on Deck 9, you’re in for a treat when it comes to views!
There’s stylish daybeds for you to lie on – they’re comfier than your usual loungers – and there’s even a bar up here too. If you’re fancying a change from the main pool scene, this is the perfect spot for a bit of sophisticated relaxation.
Once you’ve soaked up enough Vitamin D, head towards the front of the ship on this deck and you’ll come to Horizons. For a quiet drink and casual chit-chat, this laidback lounge is ideal for an afternoon crossword and accompanying cappuccino.
