Exciting news! Cruise ships will now be able to operate from Poole Harbour following the opening of a £10 million new cruise berth!

Which cruise lines will be sailing out of Poole?

Cruise & Maritime Voyages are offering plenty of departures from the port as soon as this summer, following this fantastic development by Poole Harbour Commissioners. And the way things are going, it won’t be long before other cruise lines follow suit too!

The harbour, in Dorset, is the largest natural harbour in Europe – but has been previously limited to offering ferry services only. The new South Quay berth will be able to handle ships with a capacity of up to 1,000 passengers. There’s already 25 calls scheduled in for this year!

Bigger and better than ever

PHC chief executive Jim Stewart told Travel Weekly – “We are confident that Poole will become a key port for cruise companies going forward.”
