Stepping up in the world is Cunards’ impressive Queen Victoria vessel as she heads for a refit this May – meaning your Cunard experience is about to be made even better. They’re all about making sure you feel like royalty onboard – and that’s why Queen Victoria will under go 34 million design enhancements in Palermo, Italy.
Simon Palethorpe, Senior Vice President, Cunard said: “This investment in Queen Victoria just goes to demonstrate Cunard’s passion for delivering an experience that exceeds guests’ expectations in luxury travel by sea. For the first time on Queen Victoria, guests can enjoy an elevated experience with large, well-appointed balcony staterooms in prime locations and the new Britannia Club Restaurant will be the perfect setting for those who prefer a more intimate dining experience in one of the finest restaurants at sea.”
She’ll start her new chapter on the 5th May and is due to be fully updated by 4th June 2017. We can expect plenty of new and exciting features including Britannia Club dining, 43 spacious Britannia Club Staterooms and five penthouse suites.
The Britannia Club dining experience will include an additional intimate restaurant for Britannia Club guests only. They new staterooms will have impressive features such from newly designed carpets to soft furnishings, new flat screen TVs as well as tea and coffee making facilities, all intensifying your experience. Just to top it off, these new staterooms will be situated in prime mid-ship location on decks seven and eight.
Grand Suites & Penthouses
Queen Victoria’s majestic Grand Suites and deck eight Penthouse Suites will also be completely re-designed. The Cunard Grand Suites will now maximise space, offering enhanced comfort and entertainment options. They’ll feature new colour schemes inspired by the cruise lines history, and brand signature purple. They’re created to mirror a residential apartment, and with floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, a snug room with TV, appointed-lounge, master bathroom with a sea view and a bedroom TV that folds down from ceiling – we can certainly see the resemblance. It’ll even feature a walk-in wardrobe – a fashion lovers paradise, as well as a dual aspect balcony.
The Chart Room
The new Chart Room concept will be located on Deck two and will feature illy coffee, Godiva chocolate treats, light bites by day and juicy cocktails by night. There’ll also be be a gin and fizz themed menu, as well as a variety of of wines, Proseccos, Cavas and Champagne – all blended to create fresh and inspiring cocktails.
