Princess Cruises will be offering an all-inclusive package on one of its UK-based ships for the first time next year. Passengers will be able to benefit from this deal on board the Caribbean Princess as it sails the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, as well as the fantastic range of dining options on board, and the ever-popular ‘Movies Under the Stars’ screen next to their on-board pool. A total of 10 voyages will be made in spring and summer 2015.

Royal Caribbean certified as Autism-Friendly

Quantum of the Seas

Royal Caribbean have been declared the first ‘Autism-Friendly’ cruise line by travel organisation Autism on the Seas, which is dedicated to providing holidays to those with developmental disabilities. Their ship Anthem of the Seas has been certified by the organisation as ‘Bronze Level’, while it’s expected that the entire fleet will attain Silver Level before the year is out.

Staff training, accommodation standards and improved access to facilities were all reviewed before the award was given, with things such as autism-friendly film showings and sensory-related toys amongst the services ‘Autism-Friendly’ ships can provide.

James Martin passes on his cookery skills on the Britannia

Delicious food on P&O CruisesP&O Cruises’ flagship liner the Britannia will welcome celebrity chef James Martin next year, as plans to set up an on-board cookery school are announced, with space for up to 24 guests at a time. The British cruise line have enlisted the services of Eric Lanlard and Marco Pierre White in the past, and TV star Martin is said to be thrilled to join their ranks. Speaking to Cruise International, he added that the ‘Cookery Club’ would be a ‘world-class space’.
