This year’s already been a busy one for several of our favourite cruise lines, as we’ve seen Princess Cruises’ new itineraries stretching to the furthest corners of Europe, had our tastebuds tempted by Celebrity Cruises wine tours and heard a whisper or two about Cunard’s plans for next year’s 175-year anniversary. In case you missed any of the cruise news from the past few months, here’s a quick round-up of the latest launches and special deals you can look forward to in 2014 and beyond!

Cunard’s anniversary plans for 2015

There was a stir back in January at CruiseDeals HQ, as Cunard announced that their 175th anniversary in 2015 would see a historic meeting of their flagships Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth in Liverpool. Coupled with the news that the QM2 will recreate first Transatlantic crossing to the US on 4th July 2015, as well as scheduling several other special voyages, we can’t wait ‘til next summer’s celebrations!

Wine tours make a comeback with Celebrity Cruises

Next came the news that Celebrity Cruises are planning a new range of wine cruises this autumn, allowing wine enthusiasts to sample their way around the vineyards of France, Spain and Portugal – all available on no-fly journeys straight from the shores of the UK. Those who sail on the September 19th and October 1st trips are also in good company – wine expert Oz Clarke will be offering tips on board!

P&O Cruises and Cunard launch their new itineraries

Cunard hit the spotlight once again as they revealed their full itineraries for next year and opened for pre-registration, along with fellow British stalwart P&O Cruises. As well as exploring the best of Mediterranean Europe and North Africa with Cunard, P&O Cruises look set to treat their guests to new ports, from the close-to-home (Fort William, Scottish Highlands) to the far-flung (Panama).

Royal Caribbean has big plans for Europe

Meanwhile, it was announced that two of Royal Caribbean’s stunning ships will be settling in European waters next year. While Allure of the Seas will be touring the sun-rich ports likes Marseilles and Mallorca, Anthem of the Seas will not only be offering all the sky-diving, fairground-inspired rides and death-defying entertainment of the Quantum ships, it will be sailing right from Southampton in the UK.

European sale kicks off for Princess Cruises

No-fly cruises are proving quite a trend with the big cruise lines this year, with Princess Cruises announcing their new Southampton sailings back in March. Every type of adventure is up for grabs for British cruise-goers, with Scandinavian cruises beyond the Arctic Circle and the cross-cultural delights of Istanbul to look forward to. The deals look even sweeter with the news that a free drinks package will be on offer if you book before the end of June!

Summer of fun with Thomson Cruises

Lastly came the recent update from Thomson Cruises on their 2015 itineraries. Basing their ships in four dream European locations – Dubrovnik, Marmaris, Corfu and Majorca – Thomson have racked up a top-class list of ports, from remote Greek Islands to more unusual calls at Durres in Albania. Ships Thomson Majesty and Thomson Spirit have also enjoyed a recent refurb, meaning they’ll be even more luxuries like flatscreen TVs and fresh balcony cabins to take advantage of!

With all these exciting new opportunities for cruise travel in the coming year, why not take a peep at our latest deals and see where 2015 could take you?
