Carnival Cruise Lines take cruise entertainment to a new level with the announcement of their 2015 Carnival LIVE concert series. Journey, Rascal Flatts and Styx are only a few of the sell-out names set to rock the boat at the music festival next spring.
Carnival LIVE’s debut in 2014 saw huge success with most performances from the likes of Dream Girls star Jennifer Hudson selling out. The concept was created to provide guests with the opportunity to experience exclusive live entertainment from major music artists. Shows take place in the ships’ main theatres, seating between 900 and 1300 people. This intimate performance arena means there is never a bad seat in house and provides guests with one of a kind entertainment at tremendous value and great convenience.
The 2015 Carnival LIVE concert series take the sea for the first performance in March and features, on average, one major artist a month. Multiple shows will take place on Carnival Vessels docked in the stunning ports of Cozumel, Nassau or St Thomas.
The Line Up
Tommy Shaw, singer and guitarist of American rock band Styx said, “Our 2014 Carnival LIVE shows have been tour standouts, so we are thrilled to get on board again.” He added “The audience of cruisers in a vacation state of mind combined with the ships theatre design creates an incredible energy that’s fun for everyone, including the band”.
The 2015 concert series will see the 80’s band take the stage again along with many other headlining acts like Olivia Newton John and Grammy Award winner Leann Rimes. Journey, who are responsible for inescapable hits like ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ and ‘Open Arms’, kick off the 2015 roster in St Thomas in March, followed by award-winning Little Big Town whose unmistakable sound can be heard over three performances on the March 30th, 31st and April 1st. As if that wasn’t enough, guests can sing along to the inimitable Smokey Robinson’s timeless classics in Cozumel in April and are invited to rock it out with Styx between June 16th and 20th in Nassau. Other artists taking to the stage on board Carnival cruise lines include country singer Martina McBride and platinum album selling band Foreigner.
Carnival LIVE cruises
Carnival LIVE voyages function like any other Carnival cruise. For example, Carnival Splendor’s Eastern Caribbean voyage which sails from Miami on the 15th March 2015, will dock at its usual ports including Nassau, San Juan and Grand Turk before docking in St. Thomas for a Carnival LIVE performance from Journey.
The Carnival LIVE concert series brings something unique to cruise entertainment combining fantastic rock, country and R&B music over the course of several months, providing guests with something everyone can enjoy. Tickets range from £22 to £38 (XE Currency Convertor) for general admission, significantly less than land-based concerts. VIP tickets are available for £78 to £157(XE Currency Convertor) offering front row seats, an artist meet and greet, a souvenir photo with the artist and a special VIP concert pass.
