Indonesia – The Total Solar Eclipse

This phenomenon occurs every 18 months, the moon passes between the sun and earth which blocks out the sun’s rays casting a shadow over the earth. You need to be in the right position to get the best view, preferably in the path of the moon’s shadow. The best place to view it is on the deck of the cruise ship of course, it can manoeuvre into the best spot for observing. On the open sea, there won’t be anything blocking your panoramic view, of one of the galaxies most beautiful occurrences.

France – The 100th Anniversary of the Somme

The 1st July 2016 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, with special services held over a number of memorial locations in the Picardy region of France. One of the main events will take place at Thiepval Memorial where over 10,000 people attending.
