If it’s good enough for James Bond then it’s good enough for us! The Bahamas is an absolute delight, a tropical paradise with pink glittering sands and see-through waters – you’ll instantly know why all your favourite celebs hang out here.

V.I.P vibes

What’s not to love? Soft sands to squeeze your toes in, tropical beats, culinary delights and of course, plenty of rum! Did you know that the 1996 film Flipper, 2014 chick-flick The Other Woman and even Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest were shot on this tropical island? No wonder the celebs are flocking in! It’s the perfect escape for superstars – hence why a lot of VIPs have a second home out in The Bahamas. With no fuss, chilled out vibes and nothing but sun, sand and sea – it’s a little slice of heaven.

Who, what, why, when…

This place is crawling with Celebrities – from Robert De Niro to Colin Farrell, one thing’s for sure you’ll need your camera at the ready! You don’t want to miss the opportunity to get a cheeky selfie with your favourite star. Live like a VIP and visit some of the favourite secluded hot spots on the island. Did you know Cameron Diaz had her bachelorette party here? These islands are simply magical – hence why they draw so much attention from some of the world’s biggest personalities.

With over 700 islands and cays, it’s no surprise that the stars have homes here. From the likes of Johnny Depp to Faith Hill, David Copperfield and Eddie Murphy – they all own a little piece of The Bahamas. Rounding off or starting your cruise with a hotel stay is a great way to get the most out of these fabulous islands – unfortunately we can’t just pop along to Johnny Depp’s island retreat, so instead, here’s a couple of our favourite places that have been known to impress the stars…

Rockhouse Hotel, Harbour Island

You may recognise this hotel escape from our previous destination of the month, Jamaica, where its sister hotel lies. This hotel is such a hit that Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston actually got kicked off the resort! Yes, they tried to sneak their way onto the hotel’s private beach and gym – but because they weren’t staying at the resort at the time, the owner had to kindly refuse them access. The rooms here are dreamy escapes, the pool is tucked into the hillside and the restaurants over look the shimmering waters as well as serving some of the finest food on the island. We can certainly see why our favourite celebs tried to sneak in!

One & Only Ocean Club, Paradise Island

Did you know Cindy Crawford married her husband Rande Gerber on the beach here? Not to mention the infamous James Bond character had a storied relationship in this luxury resort! It’s the picture of paradise with some of the most stylish island living spaces offering supreme privacy – you’ll be in your own bubble. You can also experience the flavours of The Bahamas the finest way possible at Dune, the restaurant of michelin starred chef Jean-Georges. Or if you’re thinking of popping the question or tying the knot, this is certainly the ultimate wedding spot. Although intimate, who knows who you’ll bump into – Beyoncé and Jay-Z are rumored to love the place!
