The dining experience onboard Marella Cruises is one of the best! Yes you’ll remember the luxury of the ship and the spectacular destinations you’ll visit but dining onboard will be worth a fair few throwbacks of its own!

Dining experiences can be as relaxed or as formal as you’d like. Take your taste buds on a journey around one of the self-service buffets or go for the glitz and glamour of a multi-course offering with tip top waiter service! All Marella Cruises will be all inclusive from Summer 2019 so we thought we’d go through some of the best dining venues onboard the fleet that are included in the package!

Marella Cruises All Inclusive Dining Rooms

An all inclusive Cruise holiday is most fun when dressing up in your best and enjoying premium services. Marella Cruises have some of the best fine dining locations across their fleet and these ones come at no extra charge! So feel free to dig in.

47° and Gallery 47°

47° is Marella Discoverys main dining room. A high quality beautiful venue with floor to ceiling windows for those amazing sea views! This wonderfully light-filled space complete with piano offers full waiter service over breakfast, lunch and dinner, so it’s certainly one of the more relaxing ways to enjoy your meals.

Breakfasts include the likes of an à la carte full English, eggs to order, smoked salmon and of course yummy pancakes, fruit buffets, cereals and yogurts. Not forgetting a good cup or two or Twining’s tea and real orange juice which are all served straight to your table.

Food boredom simply doesn’t happen at 47° with lunch and dinner menus changing daily! Expect starters of delicious prawn and crab fritters and cream of chicken and tarragon. Mains along the lines of perfectly roasted cod fillets, Greek-styled lamb kebabs and the always popular Croque Monsieur. Dinner will always have some fancier “Chef Suggestions” to peruse and for anyone who is gluten intolerant, vegetarian or vegan, dishes here are marked with an icon denoting which is suitable.

Upstairs leads to the Gallery of 47° which after Marella surveyed its guests and the love for Italian food came out on top; you can find an exclusively Italian eatery with the same bright, open and swanky design as the restaurant beneath. Enjoy a platter of Italian antipasti’s to start with slow braised pork, fried fish and your traditional pastas, lasagne and calzone dishes for mains! Desserts include indulgent warm chocolate puddings, the much loved tiramisu and a refreshing lemon meringue tart.

Latitude 53

Floor to ceiling windows, traditional yet modern feel with a décor to die for, Latitude 53 offers beautiful aesthetics and a dining experience to get excited over! Traditional, doubled decked with a grand sweeping staircase, this awe worthy location comes with no need for reservations. Open seating is operated here so just turn up and choose to sit where ever you like!

Enjoy a stress-free sit down breakfast, lunch of smoked salmon, scrumptious chicken dishes or a tasty ploughmans sandwich while dinner here will always be a three course affair! Indulge in afters at every meal with luscious desserts of mouth watering pastries, ice creams, cheeseboards and crepes. –  Just to name a few!

Vista

A subsidiary to Latitude 53, Vista is a separate space which exclusively serves exquisite authentic Italian food – a firm favourite among Marella Cruisers.

Starters, mains, sides, sharing dishes and desserts –  you can make as much of a meal out of your time at Vista as you wish! Waiters are amazing and extremely accommodating, fresh bread and olive oil with balsamic magically appears at your table for dipping whilst you wait for your food selections. Ask to try a range of taster dishes instead of one full meal or even share a couple individual portions to make the most of the delicious food on offer here!

Vista offers authentic Italian classics like calamari, meatballs and prosciutto ham to start, slow-cooked meats, grilled fish and traditional pasta for mains and the beautiful Italian delicacies of tiramisu and gelato for dessert!

Orion Restaurant

One of Marella Cruises original dining rooms, Orions bright and spacious surroundings makes for a delightful refreshment spot. Tip top waiter service and an open-seating policy make formal dining wonderfully relaxing! Simply pick your favourite spot, peruse the menu and order meals just as you like them.

The Meridian Restaurant

Boasting a bold yet beautiful colour scheme with a luxurious traditional aesthetic, you will enjoy being waited on hand and foot at this established eatery. This location also gives you the freedom to choose where to dine, with an open seating system you can get to know waiters and cruisers across all areas of the restaurant!

Drop by for no hassle breakfasts, a lunch time treat and multi-course dinners whilst onboard one of the fleets old favourites, Marella Celebration!

All Inclusive Snack Stops

Snack Shack

Busy days planned? This relaxed location with a grab and go mentality may be just the right option for you. Inspired by festival food stalls, Snack Shack has all your favourites! Bacon butties, chicken wings and for healthier options you can find the like of mezze salads and focaccia sandwiches. Boasting picnic tables and beach house huts if you wish to sit and dine, the Snack Shack is wonderfully quaint yet practical and fun.

The Glass House

Covered with a complete glass ceiling, natural light fills the space of this multi personality restaurant. Surrounding the area of the indoor pool, the restaurant has a truly laid back vibe during the day.  In the evening once loungers are no longer In use, The Glass House is one of the least busy locations and tranquil locations, offering light bite foods of sandwiches, sharing platters, tapas and yummy pizzas!

The Mediterranean

No matter your itinerary, the Mediterranean will whisk you off to the sunny isles of Spain and Portugal with its fabulous tapas offerings. Try espetadads, meat skewers and even paella while sandwiches, wraps and other small dishes can also be enjoyed. Found onboard Explorer ships, it has a beautiful glass roof for lots of natural light and leads out onto a gorgeous outdoor dining space with its own bar! – You’ll be set for the night.

If tapas isn’t for you, on the other side of the restaurant you can visit Italy and indulge in fresh cheese pizzas with your own choice of topping, as well as cooked to order pastas and salads for something a little lighter!

Terrace Grill

An open air location where you can soak up the beautiful weather – dependent on your itinerary of course and enjoy all the best go to foods of burgers, hot dogs, omelettes and pizzas. Although, the top time to visit has to be on an evening when the restaurant transforms into a Hot-stone Grill house! Cook your own steaks exactly to your liking, using sizzling hot slabs of stone!

Marella Cruises Tempting Buffets

Islands

One for the lovers of casual dining and having lots of choice! Islands offers big buffet spreads throughout the day. Taste the world and try little bits of all that’s on offer or stick with your favourite and go back for seconds! – There really isn’t a limit.  With show-cooking stations offering breakfast omelettes just the way you like them and carvery roasts in the later evening, even the fussiest of eaters will find something delightful here! It’s also great for grabbing those extra snacks in-between meals.

The Market Place

Explore variety at this around the world buffet! Made up of lots of different food stalls, your party can all go select their most desired preference of the day before returning to a table to all eat together, no complaints, no fuss just lots of good food!

Expect usual buffet grub for breakfast, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, baked beans etc plus a selection of cereals, yogurts and fruits. Omelettes are also made to order! Lunch and dinner comprises of more meat options including steaks! While other British favourites like bangers and mash, pizzas and grilled fish will also be available.

The best of all, this practical location is also somewhere that you can enjoy a delicious afternoon tea of delightful cakes, sumptuous scones and amazing sausage rolls!

Sirens Restaurant

Pool side with buffet breakfast and lunch offerings, this cosy restaurant is another hotspot for afternoon tea! Indulge in those naughty but nice treats including oven warmed home-made scones and light-bite cucumber mini sandwiches! – Always a firm favourite.

Lido Restaurant

Open for the early rises right through for the late night stragglers, this central food station has quite the hustle and bustle about it. Help yourself to meals that just keep on coming, with everything from cooked breakfasts, pizzas, soups and even themed nights throughout each week, there’s something for everyone at Lido’s!
