Why choose a Dubai and Emirates cruise?
Cruises from Dubai and other gems of the UAE will have you feeling like royalty from the moment you arrive. Dubai is an ultra-modern city surrounded by vast desert, featuring amazing architecture and sporting an A-list lifestyle that puts even the chicest areas of London to shame.
A place where Lamborghini’s line the streets, ATM’s dispense gold bars and the police drive Ferrari’s. It’s like stepping into the future!
And yet it’s one of the safest cities on the planet, with a crime rate of almost 0%. Breaking records comes second nature to this cosmopolitan city – head off on a designer spending spree in the largest shopping centre in the world, the Dubai Mall, or have a blast in the world’s largest indoor theme park.
And no visit here would be complete without witnessing the tallest building in the world – the Burj Khalifa. It’s a staggering 828 metres tall! At its feet is the famous Dubai fountain, where you’ll be treated to a show-stopping performance as super-soaking jets and lights are timed perfectly to serene symphonies.
A call into the capital of Abu Dhabi will leave you mesmerised too, where a mix of ancient traditions and modern influences blend together seamlessly. Lay on one of its pristine beaches or be captivated by the sheer beauty of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
And the port capital of Muscat – literally meaning ‘safe archorage’ – in Oman doesn’t disappoint either. It’s not as flashy as its other neighbouring cities, but its 16th-century Portuguese forts and relaxed atmosphere make for a rewarding visit.
The best time for a Dubai and Emirates cruise
The best time to visit this region is generally November to March. The heat still packs a punch in these months, but make general activities – or even lying on the beach – bearable, unlike April to October when temperatures can soar to highs of up to and around 45°c!
If you’re all about escaping the dreary British weather, there’s never really a bad time to set sail to Dubai. You’ll avoid the crowds if you go in our summer months, but the heat and the humidity is usually off the scale. Thankfully, all shopping malls and public areas are well air-conditioned, so Dubai’s indoor attractions are suitable at any time of the year.
